Hi! i have a cuestion? the manual of the Core 256 says: “Two USB-C type connectors for connecting via Thunderbolt 3. The two
connectors 1 and 2 have the same functionality. One can be connected
to the computer and the other to an additional audio interface for
expansion or to a standard USB-C peripherical device providing nonaudio functionality.”
What does that mean? Its possible to connect another interface like a Apollo with Thunderbolt 3 connection as a expansion?
Hi George,
You can absolutely add another interface to the TB3 pass-through port.
Now, that doesn’t mean that they will show up as a single interface – It will just show up as a separate device, BUT it is completely useable. You would still have to connect the audio between them, either virtually in software or between the hardware audio ports. Like ADAT<->ADAT…
Good luck!
Jon
