Forums › DADman › DADman Control Software › Realtime Dim When Talkback Is Engaged
I have a monitor profile that I created years ago. When I have talkback engaged (either by footswitch or by pressing it in the DADman app) and I adjust DLev, I hear the difference in realtime. I’ve recently set up several new rigs where I set up the monitor profiles from scratch. In each of the new instances, the dim level doesn’t audibly change until I release the talkback and reengage it. If I load the old monitor profile on the new rigs, it works in realtime. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to recreate this realtime change with a new profile. Any thoughts on this discrepancy?
Hi Tom,
Honestly – no. 🙂
I will bring it up with the Devs and see if this is known behaviour.
In the meantime, if you could try and clone the older profiles to see if the behavior carries over ?
Best,

Thank you! If I open an older profile and strip it down to make a new one, the realtime dim with talkback engaged works as expected, so I can use this as a workaround for now, but it’s just so strange that seemingly the same setup when creating a new profile shows different behavior.
OK, good info!
I’m putting this into the Bug Hotel! 🙂
Best,
Jon
