More Routing Preset Sources

Please allow the flexibility to allow more than 4 Routing Preset Sources.
Being capped at 4 sources assigned to a preset is pretty limited when using the Routing Presets for digital/analog effects sends.

We are thinking of it as being able to use 256 sources into preset outputs and our customers make huge processing presets from multiple redundant devices as it stands right now, but we are always happy to hear how you want to use our boxes and we can always learn new tricks!

Jon, I first learned about the Control Pack and routing presets at Namm this year and got the demo on how it’s being used/triggered for live sound. I was previously using multiple custom cues in DAD for routing to and from my various outboard gear. Once I wrapped my head around the Control Pack/Routing Preset workflow I found that to be a really slick and convenient way to route audio for my outboard gear. I have various routing presets setup to pretty much route any digital or analog signal throughout my studio very conveniently.

I still have a lot more stuff I need to setup but this is what I had to setup so far.

You can see where adding more sources for this workflow will be extremely helpful if you look at the Control Pack/Routing Presets workflow as sends and returns.

I am already starting to think of ways I would use that myself. 🙂

I am currently using Control pack presets in a similar method. My setup is to take the mic pres on the AX64 to switch its routing directly to feed either Thunderbolt(Thundercore) inputs to the DAW. Or send the Mic pre to a Dante output > UAD x16D (for UAD processing over Dante) > x16d to Dante input > Thunderbolt input to the DAW. So It is basically used as Insert Send and Returns for my analog inputs/DAW inputs for the AX64. More than 4 routing presets would be very helpful and will allow me to clean up how I had to set it up.
