I am looking for specific information:
when connecting multiple DAD/Avid/Dynaudio interfaces via DADlink, can the DAD preamps installed in the remote interfaces be controlled remotely in DADman and, consequently, in Pro Tools?
I can’t find the information in the various manuals and documentation.
Thanks for your reply.
Hi Bertrand,
So, the DADlink connection is a straight up audio stream device and as such doesn’t carry any control data, so you will need to have the interfaces on the same control network to be able to control the features of other devices.
Your preamp control in DADman will interconnect with preamp control in PT – the audio just gets pushed around at lightning speed, which is always great.

Thank you very much Jon!
So if I correctly understand, I need two connections: one MADI for the DADlink and one ethernet for control.
Happy holidays from France!
Bertrand
