Forums › DADman › DADman Control Software › DA and AD Card inputs/output in DADman
Hi!
I hope this finds you well.
I have a AX Center with a DA and a AD card added.
In DADman input 1 and 2 are the AX Centers built in inputs. And then input 3-10 the AD Card.
For the outputs, 1-6 are the outputs native to the AX center. And output 9-16 being the DA card.
Is it possible to rearrange the inputs and output in dadman so that the AD and DA Cards are first?
Example:
Input 1-8 AD Card, 9-10 AX Inputs
Output 1-8 DA Card, 9-16 AX Outputs
It would be a little bit more straight forward in my head this way (I think 🙂 )
Thank you for your help,
Jonas
Hi Jonas,
This is an easy one:
No.
Sorry.. 🙂
Best,
Jon
This is something that has always drove me nuts also on the AX Center. It is also similar to the how th I/O layout shows upon the AVID MTRX Studio. For the AX Center it would be much better for the I/O cards to always be the starting I/O paths or priority. If I am wiring up a system and I have expansion cards those cards will either go to patch or hardware starting at channel 1. Curious @Jon if you can elaborate on why this is not possible? Is this something that could possibly be looked at in the future as a firmware update with having DAD to have to redesign the AX Center?
Hi Marcus,
I cannot elaborate on it, but we hear what you’re saying.
Best,
Jon
